The Environment

Step into our carefully curated Toddler classroom, where your child's "I can do it" attitude flourishes. Furniture and learning materials are purposefully chosen to promote order and accomplishment. Through this thoughtfully prepared environment, toddlers develop essential life skills while experiencing the joy of self-reliance. Tasks like setting the table, baking, and tidying up teach them the value of responsibility and instill a sense of achievement. The environment becomes a canvas for fostering curiosity, exploration, and a love for learning.

Social & Emotional Development

St. Andrews Montessori understands the significance of early social interactions. Our Toddler community serves as a gentle introduction to respectful peer engagement. With experienced educators as role models, children learn the art of grace and courtesy. Everyday moments are enriched with phrases like “Please,” “Thank You,” and “No, Thank You.” Through positive redirection, toddlers develop positive behavior patterns that lay the groundwork for confident and empathetic social interactions. The experience of helping, sharing, and considering others’ needs builds strong foundations for future relationships.

Language Development

Language is a pivotal skill during the toddler years, and at St. Andrews Montessori, we prioritize its development. Through purposeful strategies, our educators support toddlers in mastering language. Engaging in conversations, stories, songs, and questions, children expand their vocabulary and refine their pronunciation. The toddler years mark the beginning of spoken language, and our educators are dedicated to fostering effective communication skills. By creating an environment rich in language, we lay the foundation for confident expression and lifelong learning.
